Here you will find tools to help you locate open proxies, check proxies, or use the proxies you've found. Additionally, there are some links to proxy server software and downloads.

  • ProxyChecker Will search for proxies based on a leech list, and check them. You can also import lists of proxies to be checked and skip the leech function. Best proxy checker I've used, and it's free.
  • Forum Proxy Leecher Very nice leecher with built in checker called Bleach. Fast and accurate. Unfortunately, it's $99, but one of the few that may be worth it. They do have a free trial, so check it out.
  • PHProxy If you want to setup your very own web based proxy, this will allow you to do it with PHP
  • CGIProxy Will also allow you to administer your own web based proxy server. This one is written in PERL, I believe.
  • Proxy Firewall Must have program for handling proxies. It can rotate your proxies randomly, or at a set rate. FREE!
  • Elite Proxy Switcher Combines proxy management with a proxy finder and checker. Looks like a great piece of software, but it does cost $39.95; however, they do have a free trial.
  • Proxy Vampire Can work as a leecher or IP range scanner. Very nice piece of software, simple to use, easy to understand the results
  • Proxyrama Multi-threaded proxy finder / checker. Very good software. I like very much.
  • Squid Web Proxy Cache An open source, full featured web proxy cache.
  • Angry IP Scanner Small, very fast IP scanner. Just input the range of IP's you want to scan, and any ports you want scanned and let 'er rip!
  • CoDeeN Information on PlanetLab's semi-open proxies
